Choc Chip Biscuits

From dad, who got it from Nanna, who got it off of the back of the Nestle choc bits packaging but never told the Hills that. Cooked for our whole apartment building (quadruple batch) as our introduction to the building, left outside their doors and knocked. We recieved several conversations, a box of ferrero rochers and a handdrawn picture of a cookie from the kid downstairs.

Ingredients

  • Butter 125 grams
  • Brown sugar 165 grams (0.75 cup)
  • Eggs 1 whole
  • SR flour 255 grams (1.75 cup)
  • Choc chips 200 grams

Steps

  1. Chop butter and soften
  2. Preheat oven to 170 (150 fan-forced), line biscuit trays
  3. Whisk egg in bowl.
  4. Beat butter and brown sugar, add egg, beat lightly, add flour and choc chips and mix well.
  5. Shape into small (tbsp sized) cookies, place on tray and press flat
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden, set aside on tray for 5 minutes, cool on rack.
