Ingredients

  • Spaghettoni 500 grams
  • Brown onions 2 whole (large)
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Tomato passata 600 ml
  • Tomato paste 2 tbsp
  • Red wine 0.5 cups
  • White sugar 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Beef mince 500 grams

Steps

  1. Chop onion and place in saucepan until brown, do the same with garlic
  2. Add mince, stirring until brown
  3. Add pasata, tomato paste, sugar, salt, pepper and wine, cover with lid and simmer for 30 minutes
  4. Boil water with salt, cook pasta for 12 minutes, drain and combine with sauce
