Beer Bread

From Peter Van-Niekerk, good with barbeque, very crumbly. Goes well with added herbs or chorizo/bacon. Don’t use for sandwiches

Ingredients

  • Beer (lukewarm) 375 ml (1 bottle)
  • SR flour 500 grams
  • Pizza cheese 2 cups
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Salt 1 tsp

Steps

  1. Crush garlic into paste (guessing) (should be enough to make 2 tsp)
  2. Set aside 1 cup pizza cheese and mix all other ingredients, rise for 45 minutes
  3. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  4. Lay dough into a tray and sprinkle remaining cheese on top
  5. Bake for 1 hour at 180 degrees
  6. Stand to cool in tray for crumbly bread, remove for firmer bread
