Did it without bacon again, used 1 very large onion and 4 large cloves of garlic. Red kidney beans instead. And for tomato paste I had double concentrate from a tube. I burnt it by while doing dishes and it ended up tasty. The texturee of the red kidney beans isn’t as satisfying in this.

Again with butter beans, and short cut bacon. Used 1 large onion instead. Will add a splash of wine. Cooking onion and bacon at same time but probably should do staggered.

Trying tonight with a make ahead red sauce from Andy Cooks on YouTube.

Whoops I forgot about it and it burned. But I got rid of most of the burnt bits and it was tasty, quicker and less effort than doing from scratch. Chopped and fried bacon, added beans for 1 min, then added sauce and reduced. Similar result to building bit by bit. Used 200g bacon and only 1 can beans, and very little leftover after 1 serve.
